low fill. touch bronze colour. very exotic and very spicy nose is quite fresh with lovely floral tones. piquant and energetic on the palate, very precise, with acid cuts, spice notes, complex delicacy, and a slight smokiness. later nose is a bit maderized and tastes like the best sherry ever, with a delightful chalky finesse. enormous length.

World's Greatest - Night III (Per Se): Creamy nose with smoke and saline. Developed grapefruit citrus. Nose is a little sharper than that on the '82 and takes a few swirls to give up more rich character. Palate is similarly tight here and has some pithy citrus along with chopped pineapple. Hard to pick a favourite, obviously both sensational.

Score reflects the first 20 minutes, after which the wine began to separate into individual elements. Honeyed and deep.

Le Cinq Legends Dinner 2018 (Le Cinq Restaurant, George Cinq Four Seasons, Paris): Classic mature Burgundy. Clearly a step above the Remoissenet. Beautiful orange notes. So well balanced.
