My last bottle, I am sorry to say. This was excellent, especially for the price. Beautiful nose, lots of cedar notes with dark fruit on the background. Surprisingly full on the palate with similar flavor profile. Medium to long finish. Probably the best QPR out of Bordeaux that I can remember. Would love to find more.
Humming along. Structure at this price point is impressive. Loads of cedar, bit of oak, still some dark, plummy fruits. Tannins finish a bit dry but not unpleasant. No decline since my note in '12. IMHO this is in its plateau; drink what ya got.
Presented itself very well. Cassis fruit showing through with cigar box note. Felt quite fresh and well balance. Drinking perfectly now, shouldn't think it will improve any further so drink near term for full enjoyment
Bright ruby colour belies its 14 years age, only slightly fading at the rim. Secondary aromas of leather immediately apparent with blackberry and other black fruits still well and truly there. The attractive nose is slightly let down on the palate. Firm tannins, but a little hollow on the mid palate.
