Reminds me of what 1997 Cabs were like (the good ones).. Big fruit forward but still held in balance with the tannins… i wonder where this goes.. Really enjoyable right now.

opened and decanted for 90 minutes... nose was beautiful but not alot of pop in the glass.. opened over next two hours and last sips were best (maybe I was intoxicated :) )

Might be even better than rated. Just beautiful balance. Softness without being light. Cassis and dark berry wrapped in a bit of leather and pencil.

so perfect and ready to go... stood up to our wonderful garlic filled flank steak with chimichurri... soft but ample fruit balanced perfectly with the tannins.

Drank after a 94 Beringer Private Reserve and expected this to come off as a young upstart - it was so much more sophisticated and complex on the palate than I expected.. cant wait to enjoy the remaining bottles.

Unique/Odd Barolo - has the nice cherry nose and initial taste but finishes like a Sangiovese based wine. Happy to have this and look forward to seeing how it ages.
