Very floral and seductive with sweet red fruit, spice and flowers on the nose and palate. Good tension and complexity. For me, its still not the best vintage for DRC or La Tache but its delicious. 95+

It has all the unmistakably VR aromas and notes of asian five spices, floral and dark fruits. The unyielding bold structure is evident, and with a lot more air / years of bottle ageing, it should became a great wine.

On the dark fruit spectrum alongside with earth, iron, vitamins and greenies. Still quite bold and four-squared with big bone structure. The sweetness was quite muted. Palate was savoury with hint of earthiness, and it was dense with chewy tannins. Interesting to see how it will further develop with more age.

Lafon Montrachet vertical with some great champagne and reds. (Four Seasons, Minneapolis, MN): Beautiful color with no browning. Perfect bottle cellared since purchase in my cellar. Very expansive nose that keeps getting better with time in the glass. Sous bois. Complex. Asian spice and floral notes. Some stems. Tannins are softening ( it has taken a long time with this vintage). Very long finish. This wine kept getting better and better with time in the glass. No hurry on opening the next one.

Elegant and very well integrated dark fruit, spice, stems with pleasant sage note. I enjoyed this although it seemed somewhat closed and did not move much over the 2 hours we had it open.
