  • Two mags. These were in excellent shape, but its not a vintage where Lafite shines. Interestingly, we had a 94 Mouton the other night that was absolutely outstanding.

  • Due to the bottle in September 2014, I have to try it again today and use it like a table wine. (drinking with food.)

The perfect condition magnum from my perfect cellar in Switzerland. So this bottle is a little bit too young, less open than the normal bottle but still enjoyable. Great structure with a very long life ahead.

    Wonderful tonight !!!

  • Starting to show secondary notes? Some pencil lead but still showing good fruit and enjoyable with or without food. Decanted for two hours before tasting it and finished off about two hours after that.

  • I waited for a very long time to drink this wine again and today is a good day to drink along with 1994 Le Pin.

1994 Lafite is made from 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and need a long aging time. A 20 years old wine seems very young still. Clean, fresh and pure scent of great Pauillac. Firm structure and superb performance at this moment.

The aftertaste is very very impressed and I have to say that Le Pin can not beat even a single element of Lafite.

I never want to buy Le Pin anymore since I tasted it few times long ago. I'm better looking for some 2-3 bottles of Lafite 1994 for my cellar.

1994 Lafite is very special. If one used to enjoy the delicious Le Pin 1994, this Lafite is not never the less.

    A Great Expectation !!!

Drink now - a very long life wine.
