  • Medium ruby.

What an incredible nose, the best I have ever encountered. Super concentrated and pronounced. Incredibly well defined black currant supported by lovely cedar, graphite, cinnamon. Wow!

Palate as amazing as the nose - superb intensity. Lovely acidity. High but polished tannins. Medium plus body. Incredible finish.

Phenomenal wine. By far the wine of the tasting. Would love to taste again once mature.

*** Tasted as part of a walkaround 2018 Bordeaux tasting. Not full notes ***

  • A OUBLIER

  • 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Quite massive and actually a bit closed depth at the moment, but has its classic wonderful fruit of blackberries, blackcurrants, ripe raspberries, graphite, tight tobacco, bonfire, herbs and anise. Great touch that spreads into a captivating wine that seduces you and squeezes you to its chest with warm and sunny fruit of black currant, cassis, redder berries, matches, anise, cinnamon, tobacco and leather. Long dense and complex finish with tannins that are firm, but which give the idea of a long life in the cellar. A difficult Margaux right now, but which abounds for a long future.

  • Perfectly poised between opulent and refined, rich and elegant, this is a beautiful example of Chateau Margaux with intense notes of lilacs, violets, cigar box, red fruits and espresso. The palate has concentration, but there is also freshness and depth of flavor, so the silky textured wine is light on its feet and effortless to drink. The seamless finish provides great energy, soft, silky tannins and a gorgeous sense of purity to the fruit that does not want to quit. Made from a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, 14% ABV.
