My first 1935 red Bordeaux was actually, quite nice. Light in body, color, and fruit, the wine served up its crisp, red cherries, red currants, cedar, spice, and leafy tobacco wrapper character with ease. Lots of acidity, but there was enough sweetness in the zesty, red fruits to make this quite a pleasure to drink, especially considering its advanced age. Drink from 2023-2025.
