  Deep ruby, showing modest development. Mulberries and cherries on the nose, some spice and earth, fragrant (violets and rose) and a hint of cedar.
  
  Medium bodied. Acidity is still quite bright. Ripe, well integrated tannins. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice balance of structure and elegance. Drinking well now.

  Nice matured Giscours, at peak: dried black fruit, licorice, black cherry, tobacco, leather, blackcurrant, forest floor, medium body, dry dark fruit finish.

  PnP it was a little bit closed, opened after 2-3 hours. No change after the next hours. Fresh nose and palate, pepper, black fruits. Still lot of life ahead, silky tannins. Good nice wine, to be paired with dark meat. A little bit closed and short for a solo...90-91

  Part of a verticale organized by the château. Very subtle and delicate nose of cedar, pepper, ripe fruit and incense. Well structured and elegant on the palate, still lots of freshness. Noble wood, tobacco, sous-bois, herbs and liquorice. A pleasure to drink and confirming the good level of 2001 in general. Consider drinking now and over the next 2 years.

  No decanting. Beautiful red fruits and nicely aged but can still last for another decade.
