I thought this had a nice funk at the beginning and it’s tannins more resolved and approachable than the GE 83 drank side by side, but this faded quickly. I preferred the 93 GE more but overall still liked the more modern wines post 1990.

Still hanging in there. It has lost some fruit on the nose and palate, but still a delicious quaffe. Age has enhanced the smoke and earth notes of this wine.

Dried Red fruits, perfumed, flora, some spices notes like cinamon. Pronounced nose and good acidity. Did not decant the wine, upon opening, the nose is immediately showing and improved further in 2-3 hours in glass. After 2-3 hours, it show more of fig and prune. Very impressed with the quality of wine despite a relative vintage.

Brooklyn Dinner with DJCV: Ex-Jim bottle. Very funky nose and slight signs of maderization on the nose. Mostly secondary.

Echezeaux Extravaganza: Henri Jayer and DRC 1976-2007 (La Grenouille, New York): Perfect mouthfeel. Silky tannins. A beautiful floral nose.
