Near clear sparkler. Slight notes of citrus, honey, peach, creme on the nose. Bright, crisp, refreshing, light citrus. Not overly sophisticated but reliable and hits the spot. Used to make Aperol spritz.

Pale color. Light aromas of citrus zest & quince with jasmine and stone. Off dry on the palate, more lush and tropical with floral and honeycomb secondary notes. Light spritz, medium-plus acid and succulent finish.

Review done ~~5 days later. So I dont recall couple parts of it. First tasting notes I've done.
Placed in fridge for ~~15 min
Price: according to google, $14 USD
Nose: zero to none alcohol burn or smell. I dont get any scents at first. swirling in the glass, I start to get immediate slight hints of something like green apples. Until eventually I am pretty sure I get green apples on the nose. But still faint.
Palate: This is the part i dont quite 100% recall. However, I do know i tasted something like Green Apples. I do remember it feeling very crisp/refreshing. Not to bubbly/fizzy
Finish: I dont recall the Finish at all unfortunately.
Dry Down: I kinda enjoyed the Dry Down. Stronger scent of green apples.
Rating: I dont quite have a baseline when it comes to wine for me to give a x/10 rating yet. So to put it in terms of whether i liked it or not, i would put this towards, "Didnt love it, but for sure didnt hate it. wouldnt mind sipping on a chilled glass of this"

Decent weekday dinner sparkler at $18.00 in Vancouver. On nose: faint notes of Asian pear. On palate: above note enhanced, with light lemon pith, granny smith apple, and crisp water biscuit flavours. A restrained wine....works well with Sushi.

Crisp, demi-sec like sweetness, appealing sense of viscosity. Perfectly quaffable. A fine pairing with mixed greens and it packs the substance to stand up to heartier fare.

Not sure how old this is as it is aNV. Used yesterday and mixed it with fruit nectar. It was a perfect way to use it up. I have 1 more bottle and will do the same thing.

Retail $16. 100% Glera. The light blue label of La Marca Prosecco is ubiquitous--you can find it just about anywhere. And while that is not necessarily a *good* thing, it is not inherently bad, either, but seeing as I am generally not a huge fan of the wines from the mass-farmed Prosecco DOC, well, let's just say I tried to keep an open mind. Glad I did. A slightly yellow pale straw (darker than most Prosechi I have tried recently), La Marca has a sweet, tropical fruit nose (pineapple, citrus) with notes of white flower and a flinty, almost medicinal aspect. While it is not labeled as such, I would guess this is an Extra Dry, which is sweeter than a traditional Brut as the sugar hits the tongue first. It is followed by a fairly intense tartness which tries its darndest to balance out the sweetness. In all, a fairly good sparkler for the price (it sells for around 12 bucks in most grocery stores). thedrunkencyclist.com

Light yellow color. Nose pops with peaches, limes, honeysuckle, and crushed sweet tarts. Light and fresh with moderate acidity and flavors of peaches in honey, candied orange peel, shaved lemon. Nots of floral perfume and crushed sweet tarts mix with a hint of mint. Fun, straightforward, crowd-friendly stuff.

Nearly clear color. Drank a glass with dinner. Got this as part of a mimosa package and had a little leftover. Simple, muted nose, citrus, lemongrass. The palate is off dry, sweet green apple, lemongrass, light minerality.

Though this may be in premium territory for Prosecco on your supermarket shelf, it’s too bad there isn’t enough of the better Glera’s available as easily. For the same price, much better is to be had if you have a reliable shop or online source. This wine’s strongpoint is that is isn’t too sweet, but the soapy and astringent notes kind of wipe out the hope of something better. 4+8+13+6= 81

Lemon grass and cat urine on the nose. Notes of cantaloupe, AAA batteries, and fresh playing cards. Bubbles dissipate faster than William Floyd on a wheel route.

Clear, greenish tint, with sparse medium size bubbles. Aromas of citrus, green apple, slate, with a white flowers element. Bright and crisp, very refreshing. Citrus heavy in the mouth with a decent bubbly mouthfeel. Finishes with minerals and bright green fruit. Very good goto prosecco for parties or just an easy to drink bubbly.

Pale straw yellow with medium brightness, high clarity, and low optical density. Dispersed sizes of bubbles with good vigour. Faint aromas of bright tree fruits and light cream, with subtle tropicals. On the palate, light in presence, with a decent intensity on entry and a nice, vibrant acidity that carries things through. Tart green apple, peach, and light cream flavours with up-front and fast bubble effervescence that disperses quickly to settle on a fine fizz as the flavours quickly transition to light tropical fruits with the tart apple still apparent. Finishes quite clean and quick, and is overall medium in intensity and low in complexity.
This is an affordable and accessible Prosecco that suits any occasion. Definitely fun and easy going, and not a profound and deep bubbly, but certainly nothing wrong here. Refreshing and will not interfere with anything else, this is good alone or with food, and you won't go wrong with this solidly made Italian sparkler, but a very basic one.

The appearance is clear with no evidence of sediment. It’s pale yellow in color. The nose is clean with a light intensity of aroma. Aroma characteristics include green apple and only a hint of stone fruits. This wine is dry to off-dry, with medium acidity, and a medium body. Flavor characteristics include green apple, apricot, mectarine, and lemon. The finish is medium. Conclusion: Due to the lack of balance between the palate and nose I would judge this wine to be of only acceptable quality.

This was a very pale straw (almost colourless) with aromas of pear, sweet peach, and lemon. Fairly high acidity balanced the sweetness well. It was refreshing and although there was fruit on the palate, it would have paired well with a lot of foods had we not burned through it so quickly. I would buy this again, and it was a great price at Costco for $14 CAD.

This is some awful sparkling wine. I am sure a big sellers at Total Wine. No noticeable fruit, some chalk and certainly sweet. Move this around in your mouth and find out how bad it is. One of the worst sparkling wines I have ever sampled.

12 Days of Christmas - 2018; 12/21/2018-1/1/2019 (NYC, Vermont, Lake Placid): This was the bubbly bar prosecco served at the niece's bridal shower. Quaffable if not particularly interesting - I appreciated that it was not overly sweet and cloying as I find many Prosecco's can be. Served with a fresh raspberry in the glass which provided a little treat on the finish.

Enjoyable wine for a great price. Pale flax hue. Slight citrus nose, kiwi, lemon, acidic. Slight sweet then tart combo. Nice drinking sparkling wine that can be drunk with or with out food. Refreshing. Very drinkable. Enjoyed. Not sure about the community rating-- gotta factor in the price tag-- expect this to be enjoyed by the masses.

Near crystal clear with medium, persistent bubbles. Very little on the nose other than carbon dioxide gas (Yes, I know what I just wrote). Grapefruit rind and baked apple palate with a medium-long tennis-shoesy finish. A nice enough base for your more pedestrian sparkling wine cocktails or Bellinis made with chain grocery peach juice. Go higher end for professional caliber Bellinis or on-it’s-own drinking. You deserve that.

A variety of wines by the fire (Our backyard): Brought over by the neighbors to drink around the fire. A nice refreshing wine. Light gold in color. Plenty of frothy bubbles. The nose has some minerals, slight chalk and a hint of citrus. Good acidity. Refreshing on the palate. More about minerals than fruit but some lingering citrus. Nice finish.

With a blondish yellow color, this bubbly's legs are are fast with no sediment. Its nose hints of peach, honeysuckle and apple blossom. Its light body taste is well balanced with hints of honeysuckle, peach and apple blossom with a bright texture, medium finish and medium acidity.

Pale straw color. Ebullient mousse. This has a nose of ripe pear, accented by a stony minerality. The entrance is marked by ample effervescence, with an off-dry and fruity midpalate transitioning to a moderately acidic finish. For me, Prosecco is at its best a light and pleasant sparkler, ideally achieving some balance between flavors, acidity, and other nuances. In that way, La Marca remains and exemplar and an excellent value.

New Years on a budget? Consider La Marca's charming Prosecco. Lemon drop, apple blossom, acacia honey, and fresh marshmallow tumble from the glass, held aloft on a torrent of bubbles. The palate feels perceptibly drier than one might expect given the aromatic profile. Acidity keeps it light and lively, accenting the finish—a subtle mineral edge twining and a pleasant bittersweet twinge of peach pit. Sample

This prosecco comes in very small (187 ml) bottles similar to those you might get from hotel room service. Aroma of apples, dry, with a medium length finish. My best memory of this prosecco is drinking a glass prior to an italian dinner at the San Antonio riverwalk. It clears and prepares the palate well for pasta, red sauce, and dry red wine.

Very pale, clear yellow. Quite faint on the nose with only a slight honeysuckle and pear. The palate starts with a nice strong fizz, followed by lemon tart, and finishes with pear. Interesting, and quite tasty changes. Not very familiar with sparkling wines, but for the price, this one isn't bad at all, if not a little boring.

Very consistent from year to year, this is always a crowd-pleaser. Nice frothy, smallish bubbles. Its nice acidity hides more than a touch of sugar, giving it a rounder, smoother palate than other inexpensive Proseccos. Very good QPR at $10-$12. Drink now, not intended for aging.

Served well-chilled (6c/43f) with hors d'oeuvres. Nice Pale Yellow in the glass. Very smooth, citrusy, mineraly, with a nose of lemon. Nicely balanced with a pleasant finish, short. but crisp and smooth.
Opened a 'NV Cecilia Beretta Prosecco di Treviso Spumante Extra Dry' in an informal taste comparison. The Cecilia Beretta (my rating - 84 pts) seemed a little more harsh and not as smooth as the La Marca (86 pts) which also seemed to have a somewhat more pleasant finish. Used the remaining bottle(s) to make Mimosa's with freshly-squeezed orange juice (which were quite good).

Definitely my go to daily sparkling. Soft pale yellow. Not many bubbles, and they are very fine. I wonder if they are manufactured. Taste of soft roses and lemon peel. Dry. Crisp white fruit nose, not to strong. A simple clean well made wine.
Paired with teriyaki salmon tacos. Went very well. Finished the pallet dry and clean. Great Pairing.

An afternoon of Italians (wine and people) (Vince & Lisa's): This is nice. On one of the first warm afternoon of spring, this is a great lunchtime starter. Thursday Evening Tasting at Best Bottle, Columbia, SC 12/4/2014 (Best Bottle, Columbia, SC): It has been a couple of years since we last reviewed this very popular, crowd pleasing little sparkler. To me this one tastes quite a bit more rich and concentrated with more honeyed peach flavors than I remembered from previous releases. This richer character is aptly balanced by some lemon citrus acidity. Moderately aggressive little bubbles keep thing refreshing and smooth. Peach and apple with the lemon on the finish.

Here we are reviewing this wine 17 months since the last time. I would live to think this is a new batch (can't use vintage). I have to admit, my notes are almost exactly word for word the same. Needless to say, this is a very pleasant wine, that to me is the epidomy of the best alternative to a cold beer at 5 PM happy hour whistle wetting time. It is very soft and light on the palate. There is almost a perfect amount of crispness. There is some fresh peach backed up with lemon swimming in super active little bubbles that cleanse and refresh. Deservedly a real crowd favorite.

Pale, pale, pale with a flourish of effervescence. Delicate, almost faint lemon at front of palate, delicate pear mid palate...apply nose....not as remarkable to me at Riondo was (when it was still corked vs screwcap) - but nearly as delicate. The 'then Riondo' is still my favorite....I will always seek its 'drinking snowflakes' quality in a Prosecco.

Color: The color of the sparkling wine was a pale, golden straw color. Nose: The nose had a very good balance of citrus and hints of honey producing a very clean smell. Palate: Flavor is very clean with citrus, lemon, green apple with touches of grapefuit with some mineality. The finish very light, crisp and refreshing.

This was surprisingly nice for the money: not too sweet, aromas of burnt caramel and golden currants; crisp and refreshing with green apple and strawberry dominant on the palate; excellent with spicy Mexican food.

Wines of Italy (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had a very nice apple pie aroma, with small amounts of grapefruit and stone. The palate was crisp and had quite a bit of lemon. There was also some apple and creme flavors. It finished with good minerality.

Wine Education Service - Italy, The North East (Imperial College): Frizzante, pale greenish silver. Strong apple aroma, soft effect. Apple predominates in the mouth, a sweet attack, off dry, stewed apple sauce, quite refreshing, pleasant, simple, not very long.

Light and frothy with relatively fine bubbles. A light citrus bouquet portends distinct white grapefruit and lemon flavors with a touch of toast. Acidity is quite lively on this one. Enjoyable but not memorable. OK value at the typical price of around 12.

Eye: Very very pale straw
Nose: Little bit of peach. Little bit of pear.
Palate: Peach pear, bubblegum, lemon. Not exactly a searing brut; the back of the bottle describes it as Extra Dry, and I suppose that’s correct.
Finish: Short. Lightly doughy and appley, and raisiny.
Overall: Profoundly fine. I suppose that I understand it’s popularity.

Retail $16.

Battle of the (inexpensive) Prosecco's

Soda like. Big bubbles. Extra dry style. Not much here.

Friends brought this over with a manicotti dinner on 9/12/10. It had apple pear, honey suckle, mineral and chalk notes on both the nose and palate. It was very enjoyable.

A very nice, dry Prosecco with very clean flavours. Light mouthfeel with a slight amount of carbonation present.

This was surprisingly nice for the money: not too sweet, aromas of burnt caramel and golden currants; crisp and refreshing with green apple and strawberry dominant on the palate; excellent with spicy Mexican food.

Tasted at a retail tasting.
Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. nose of sea foam, orange and yellow apple. Flavors of citrus, yellow apple and yellow pear. Medium to bright acidity, medium body. Drink of short term.

Nice Granny Smith/pear thing going on. Fine for summer sipping; just don't expect the world. Extra point for the mousse, which is quite fine.

Light and frothy with relatively fine bubbles. A light citrus bouquet portends distinct white grapefruit and lemon flavors with a touch of toast. Acidity is quite lively on this one. Enjoyable but not memorable. OK value at the typical price of around 12.

Not much nose . Some citrus and nut on the attack and midpalate; steely and chalky elements on the finish.
Great body and balance. Very good QPR.
