Pedro's visit to Tucson: Tasted alongside the '90 and '02 DRC GE. This was my least favorite of the trio, but if served by itself, it would be lovely. More rustic than the others. Floral and stem notes. More structured. Tannins a bit more rough and not as balanced with the fruit. I'm not sure that this wine will get a lot better, but hopefully I'm wrong.

La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): My table's 8 vintage vertical at La Paulée. Sadly, slightly corked. Also sad because this was first time ever tasting this wine from this vintage.

Bloody and earthy, lots of guts and power still. Just opened.

9/7/2018 - Ms. Bubblehead Does not like this wine:
It was a very disappointing bottle. Rustic and earthy nose, dark fruits and some mushroom, didn’t get much complexity on the palate.
