  • The 2010 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Grands-Echezeaux is medium ruby in colour with a nose of white peppers, red currants, raspberry juice, ripe but indeed very fresh. A perfumed nose with good minerality of wet rocks (plus points for the nose for sure).

A fresh and clean mineral palate with focus coming in perfectly on the mid-palate, powerful underlying acidity drives rosey, bursting juicy fruit flavours and minerality all the way through. Good grip on the finish. Lots of character here and it was a wine that really provide the 'palate-cleaning freshness' that distincts and separate itself from the flight. 96+

  • 2010 DRC Tasting: Darker still in color compared to the Echezaux and the Corton. The nose was even more expressive and emphasized dark fruit with a bit of red fruit, lots of spice, a touch of earth and wet stone. The palate was more refined, rounder and deeper than the prior two wines. Much longer and more powerful finish. Really impressive.
