Farewell Dinner (Charlie Trotter's, Chicago IL): Dark red and black berry fruit on the nose and palate with great earth and baking spice components. Mushroom reduction. Fantastic texture and length on the palate. Outstanding!

Farewell to a Great Restaurant (Charlie Trotter's - Chicago IL): Lush, ripe and powerful fruit aromas with good spice. Black fruit on palate with lots of mushroom character and even more intense baking spice flavors. Excellent.
Sweet, not showing much fight at the start, and it did not recover... not a trainwreck but not great, roasted.
49th B'day at Mustard's. Wow is all I can say. This took more time to develop than the 61 La Tache. Bright red in color, belying it's age. Beautiful sweet fruit with lots of depth. Ethereal.
A few highlights from a celebration (Northbrook, IL): Slightly corked, so really hard to assess underlying fruit at this age.
