Nose is grumpy. This is a bit old style and very ripe, highly extracted and massively concentrated, with grippy tannins, compensates its lack of refinement with its sumo heavy weight style. Serious, long finish, with licorice and plums notes. Not very refined though, and not sure if worth the price.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Big, burly and muscular with so much stuffing, but structure at least as pronounced today. Patience required, 92-94 point potential, 2033 forward.
