Not the greatest Yquem tasted but giving a lot of pleasure still. Very classic, textbook Yquem nose. Would have preferred maybe slightly more acidity on the palate

Lovely, developed nose with layers of marmalade, dried apricot, honey, cinnamon and almond. Opulent but fresh on the palate with a great finish. Great but not mind-blowing wine. Less complex and intense than the 2006 tasted alongside.
WSET notes:
Medium amber.
Pronounced on the nose with marmalade, mushroom, hay, almond, dried apricot, caramel, honey, cinnamon. Fully developed.
Pronounced and sweet on the palate. Full body, high acidity, high alcohol, long finish.
Can drink now but has potential for aging.

Arrived at the end of a pretty long lineup of a memorable wine lunch and albeit liquid gold is liquid gold our palate was well over fatigued to offer a proper note deserving to the royalty this wine is. Hopefully we will cross paths with it another day too .

Aromatic nose of honeysuckle, apricot, orange peel, almond and five spice. Apricot, honey, orange peel and five spice on the palate. Very long finish. Exceptional balance. Served with a lemon Bundt cake.

A fabulous drink. Orange peel, honey, caramel overtones, figs and brown sugar. Nicely balanced with a medium, not complex, body. For an off year, what more do you want?!?

(Château d'Yquem) Beautiful orange honey and peach nose; tasty, medium weight orange marmalade and orange honey palate, delicious but lacking a bit of acidity; long finish
