Very dark color. Deeply perfumed nose of minerals, caramel, dark rose and cardamom. On the palate, it's layered and deep with concentrated flavors of orange peel, honey and that dark rose thing. The finish is mind-boggingly complex with grippy mineral notes ad Indian spices. Just medium-sweetness and oh so fine.

An evening of vinous gems (Benoit): Dark mahogany color. Quintessential Yquem flavor profile: orange peel, cardamom, Indian spices, and caramel. Delicious

The color of dark rose. Gorgeous nose of quince, honey, cinnamon and rose petals. Mature but still with good intensity, this is simply a beautiful elegant vintage of Yquem with mild sweetness and complex flavors of caramel, orange and fabulous spices. The finish shows some secondary sweetness with lovely notes of creme brulee, honey and rose spice. So charming and so delicious. This would be one of my favorite vintages of Yquem for drinking today. An intimate dinner for 8 with Pierre Lurton in the rotunda on the roof at Nomad, NYC.

Orange/amber color. The palate showed a bit blocked, but had nice sweetness and a lovely grassy quality.
