  • The same bottle as PDavisMarble, kindly supplied by George. What an interesting drink; apricot and apples, almond, quince. Slightly savory - nuts and button mushrooms - having lost most of its sweetness. But most surprising of all, it expands in the glass, its aromas building and enchanting.

  • A wonderful treat. Bottle had been reconditioned at the chateau in 1994. Light chestnut color. Relatively thin and delicate. No legs. First tried in white wine glasses, and we all thought the wine was a bit thin, not terribly fragrant and void of fruit and floral notes. Then tried in the Zalto Universal and the wine came alive. Hints of some tropical fruits, along with hazelnut and walnuts, some herbal notes of sweet basil and rosemary and a long finish. The nose lost a semi-stewed notes and clarified. This beautiful, elegant wine was an experience. Almost no amount of cellaring is too much for a well crafted wine like this. Thank you George!
