This has a beguiling nose of oriental teas and spices leading onto a palate which was the most evolved of the four wines. The nose is so beguiling it is almost like an out of body experience. The palate is medium bodied with tertiary nuances of truffles and mushrooms, with neither the power or the finish of the DRC Richebourg 90, the Rousseau CSJ 91 or the Leroy Brulees 90. Nevertheless a compelling wine which has the unmistakeable DRC signature and delivers enormous pleasure.

B Li dinner with Julian/Ada, Eugene/Katherine (Gaddi's): mature nose of tea leaves, truffles and mushrooms, becoming more exotic towards the end with a touch of lychee! a little thin on the palate which is understandable given the vintage.

reat nose of bright red cherries, smoke and a touch of asian spice. Still quite tight, but a little browning on the rim. weird combo, and this is still quite acidic, but I'm not sure this will improve. One of those wines that smells better than it tastes

(Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Grands-Echezeaux) Light bricking red color with pale meniscus; tart, tea and dried berry nose with a green note; tart greenish red fruit and dried red fruit palate with fine but mature tannins; medium finish
