This is masterful. Big and bold but not overly sweet, this shows apricots and vanilla with some exoticism. Only moderate acidity but tons of extract. Really complex with superb balance. Obviously, still a baby.

Small Tasting & Dinner with Friends: Half bottle. Light golden yellow color. Aromas of pear nectar, honey, orange blossom and stone fruit. Rich, but with plenty of acidity to keep things fresh. Apricot, peach, pear and spice flavors with a long finish. Balanced. Lovely. 94+ pts. (R&D)

Paired beautifully with some Humboldt fog. This was a PnP from a 375 and it was delicious from the moment it was opened, just singing. It was even better on day two.
Apricot, pineapple, rich honeyed orange peel, incredible lightness alongside the sweetness. Balance as only Yquem consistently delivers. Coming into its own with decades ahead.

Sauternes Chinese Banquet Dinner: Opened 24 hours in advance. Yellow color. Rich, spicy, lush, and moderately sweet with exquisite balance. Still very young but a powerhouse and delicious now. The biggest wine of the tasting. Should live forever.

Starting to darken. Not as sweet as most vintages with something of a savory character. Deep and a little brooding. Could be an immortal wine.
