  • Lunch de Noël des anciens de C&S: Un nez explosif, de viande fumée de violette et d'épices. Aucune doute sur le cépage! La bouche est dense et très serrée, avec des tanins qui se montent en une superbe muraille, d'une grande élégance. C'est très jeune et très grand. Super frais, d'une grande concentration, avec une finesse de tanins exceptionnelle. La proverbiale main de fer dans un gant de velours. Le vin fut reconnu sans peine par déduction logique! Un très grand vin qui atteindra peut-être la perfection vers 2025. Un infanticide certes, mais quel spectaculaire expérience. Wow!! 97-99 (+?) pts

  • Klar, dyp rød med hint av blått. Elegant, forførende og sensuell nese med fioler, mørke bjørnebær, bringebær, og milde krydder.
    Intens, mørk og strukturert frukt med enorm dybde. Tett og konsentrert samtidig som den er sømløs og fløyelsmyk. Innslag av krydder. Frisk, saftig syre. Tørr utgang med milde, tørre tanniner. Sitter uendelig lengde i. Sømløs feminin eleganse. La ligge.

  • Working with wine 2014 seminar 1 - Rhone varieties (Sofitel, Sydney): Medium minus aromas of cream, toast, vanilla, meaty elements, green peppercorns and red berry fruit touches of spice here as well. On the palate the wine is juicy and spicy with flavours of red berries tending to currants. Fine bodied tannin and slight alcohol warmth join the fruit and the whole lot just carries, as a constant, for ages. Not particularly large bodied - no massive weight or big cornucopian fruit explosion here - but beautifully balanced. Burgundyesque to coin a word. elegance personified. Very good indeed.
