Peppery, black raspberries, kirsch, spice and earthy in character, this is bright, crisp and acidic in style. With air and time, the wine improved in the glass.

LaLa's at the Ledbury- good fill , color is fading a bit but the nose was alive and kicking, earth, leathery, a little smokey around the edge. Bottle had a nice zip of acidity still and well balanced. Comforting Rhone served with a great meal. If you have this one drink and enjoy

This was like my old charming grandma - nice to have a conversation with. However, you feel it's over the hill already. However, a good degree of freshness still there.Cheers!

A Trip to Bern's for Old Bordeaux and Burgundy (Tampa, FL): Meh. Not really singing. Wines like 1982 and 1983 have moved the earth for me, but this was just a nice, older Côte-Rôtie. Maybe I was too ready for the Burgundy and Bordeaux to follow or too jaded by some past stellar experiences, but while solid this was nothing to go crazy over in my book.

Light Lumber in the High Country - Part 2: Great bottle, killer nose. Faded a bit in the glass, but a rock solid wine that won lots of oohs and ahhs.
