PnP - Nice Rose Champagne. Flavors of strawberry, raspberry, some toast and some chalky minerality stood out. Decent, but not a long finish. Nice bubbles. A good everyday drinker or starter Champagne and should be a crowd pleaser. Good value. Solid 90 for me.

Blind Champagne Tasting (Astrid's House): Served blind. And as unlikely as it may be to have happen, we had 2 exact bottles of this wine included in the same blind line-up. And as ironic as that is, even moreso the two bottles were in sequence to each other, both bottles closed out the tasting. So, to see the bags come off, and to see the same bottle tasted twice in succession, it's one of those rare moments in my tasting history of doing this for 3 decades that I was stumped. They were both taken from the same importer box, so the conclusion was the same disgorgement/wine, yet I didn't have any disgorge info. 60% Chard, 28% Pinot Noir, with 12% Bouzy Rouge still wine. Both bottles had a salmon light pink color, so that was consistent. Both bottles also, at least for me, exhibited a dosage expression that made the wine have a lime candy quality. One bottle I noted the wine as a 'lime icee', and the other bottle had a 'lime chew' quality. In one bottle, the red fruit was was more drinkable and balanced, and in the other bottle the red fruit was more jammy in tone. Yet, to have the wines one after the other, I had no clue at all that the wines were identical. In sum, a great memory, a good laugh and something I will never forget in my wine tasting life!

Served blind. Bright nose with notes of cherry and cake. Juicy cherry on the palate. Short grip. Sweet tart like quality. Notice the dosage a bit here.
This ended up being an extra test for all of us. I accidentally brought in two bottles of this. Our host didn't really notice when he bagged them. We were all surprised at how different they showed. Especially being served back to back.

Served blind. Quite frothy. Somewhat reserved. Classic nose otherwise with strawberry and mineral. Bright and crisp. A little bit simple being mostly about cherry. A touch of mineral like salinity as it sits.

Superb salmon color with fine bead; aromatic, strawberry, raspberry; medium bodied, yeast plus red fruits, medium-plus acidity throughout, medium alcohol which is well balanced; medium-plus length finish. A very consistent wine across all the times I've tried it, and a superb value for rose champagne. 93

What a nice surprise. Served slightly too warm. Put on an ice sleeve … but I might have liked the slightly warmer pour. A nice lush rose, floral, ripe fruits with still some grapefruit bite. Had it as a starter with cheese but could also see it as a desert finisher or as a stand-alone late afternoon kicking up your feet beverage. 20/11/2017 disgorged. I think I paid $50 and would buy more at that. Feel like it’s slightly lower in alcohol and don’t think I would have it with food. Except as apertizer, cheese etc. Big hit at my dinner with non wine snobs.

This has been aging in my cellar for a few years, which made IMHO did the wine good. Very nice balance of red fruit and minerals. Very fresh and bright while not being too acidic and tart. A great buy for $40.

This pours a lovely, salmon color. There is a refreshing elegance to the nose with strawberries, berries, fresh picked citrus, meyer lemons, poached pears, candied apples, crushed rocks, vanilla beans, biscuits, baking spices, and warm dough. There is excellent depth with great interplay between the tart, red fruits, citrus, and autolytic notes. The feel is Medium bodied with crisp, high acidity. The acidity is refreshing and mouth watering, but it doesn't dominate. It's been a bit since I've had this and that's a mistake. This is lovely, complex, and a great overall value.

Light salmon color. Drank 2 glasses over 2 hours. Always enjoy the Camille Saves Rose Champagne and this was a particularly nice bottle. Fresh air mixing with wafts of pulverized chalk, cherry and raspberry with layers of quince spice and baked apple with notes of almond and dried grasses. The palate is savory, red berry panna cotta, chalk, lemon, apple with hints of apple peel, cherry, yeasty almond paste, hints of cereal. Very deft and long on the finish. Excellent 93(+?)pts.

Drank at a restaurant with a friend along with appetizers. Some strawberry, steel, and yeast on the nose. On the palate, fairly dry with nice strawberries/cranberries coming through with some citrusy acidity. Creamy bubbles that balance nicely with the other elements. The lingering flavor after the last sips reminded me of strawberry sour candy. Not the most memorable rose champagne I've had, but absolutely a quality effort and nice balance.

60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot noir of which 12% is Bouzy rouge. Salmon color, very fine and persistent bead; high intensity aromatics, red fruited, strawberries, a bit of yeast; palate is medium bodied, incredible fresh acidity throughout, strawberry, some minerality, lemon-lime; finish is medium-plus. This is impeccably balanced, racy, vibrant, and showing all the character I would expect for a rose champagne. Exceptional, and well above its price point (or other champagnes from Saves that I've tried). 93

Medium salmon color. Drank a couple glasses over 2 hours. 62C, 28PN, 12Bouzy Rouge. These are remarkably consistent. Yeasty nose, red cherry, red berries, apple, deep underbrush notes and dried herbs. The palate is medium bodied, energetic and yeasty with cherry, strawberry, apple skin, chalk, dry minerality and a tart red fruit and dried herb finish. 91+ to 92pts.

There was nothing offensive about this bottle, just a lack of depth. I was expecting the usual notes of strawberry and apple from this Champagne but these were distinctly muted here. There was good minerality, but the balance was off.
Elegant bead, lovely salmon color; high intensity aromatics with strawberries and cream, bit of stone fruit, bit of yeasty bread; palate is medium bodied, vibrant medium-plus acidity, superb red berry fruit, lovely length that could use just a bit more depth in the midpalate, citrus lemon-lime at the end; finish is medium length. Really superb NV rose at any price, and an incredible value at close to $40. 93

Enjoying a Fall Day (Home): Medium Copper River Salmon color. Drank two glasses over an hour. Very consistent with my recent note. on 7/29/20. Chalk, yeast, red berries, bright on the nose. The palate is deep and deeply chalky and spicy, very yeasty with somewhat sour red berries and red currants and apple peel.
Lucien Le Moine Tasting (My home - Chicago IL): Floral aromatic start with bright apple aromas. Similar flavors with lemon hints and a good burst of energy in the middle, making this surprisingly Chardonnay-driven for a producer I typically associate with Pinot Noir.

Always have enjoyed this wine. This was the older label and was disg about 8 years ago. Loads of tart cherry fruit, but smoothing out on the palate. Vivacious mousse. Pretty red floral aromatics. Complex. Savory, Sucrosity. All the above wrapped up nicely with a nice finish. Seriously lovely wine.

This followed the Moncuit Rosé and was slightly better. Both are terrific. This has red fruit, strawberry, but it is more subtle, with some apple skin. It is crispy and tart, less creamy, and chock full of mineral perception. The swallow, like Moncuit is full and inviting, playful, and just begs to be drunk. Disgorged 5/15/2017

Orange salmon color. Drank several glasses over 3 hours. Disgorged 5/15/17. Another great showing for this beauty. Very mindful of the best NV's; think L-P and B-S with an even more modest tariff. This is crazy good. The nose is infused with wild strawberry, cherry, blood orange, chalk, pink flowers and yeast. The palate is energized and very creamy, tart wild berries, pomegranate, citrus, cherry, chalk, and apple peel. Really good and even better with a little extra cellar time. Definitely requires a reload.
Chianti and Brunello (Ciao Bella): The starter for a tasting. This is acidic and dry. There is a wonderful elegance to it, with unripe strawberry and slight toast.

Still winning. Elegantly styled. Nice strawberry, watermelon with lime zest and notes of mineral. Somehow they keep the dosage hidden so this never comes off as sweet. It just has enough to carry all the acid. Consistently terrific wine.

2019 Suntacular--Champagne Tasting to raise money for Laura's House: I have drank a lot of this wine, and it's consistently made well. Like with past bottles, this is peach colored, with a strawberry core, raspberry and stone fruit. Zesty, built well as usual, solid again.

This showed well. No label info, at least easy to discern, which makes it hard to compare this wine over multiple past bottles. Same blend as usual, with 60 Pinot, 28 Chard and 12 percent still added. Peach colored, dried red fruit, cherry, watermelon, lime and some good minerality.

Don't have any back label info, as we tasted this blind. Peach colored, strawberry, zesty lime, lots of acid. Tangy finish. Dominant here is the zesty core, but this was beat in the blind side-by-side by the Hugues Godme NV Rose, which was much better balanced to me.

Lunch at Kevin's 6/5/19. Wonderfull refreshing nose: hints of yeast, sea air, light and inviting one to "jump in". Red fruit notes (rasberry, and hint of strawberry) . Nice minerality present. Fragrant/floral bouquet . Everyone's favorite that afternoon.

Wednesday Mini on the Deck (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light salmon color. Drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes. This is a very serious Rose Champagne, complex and exciting. The nose is rather explosive starting with a burst of fresh sea air, yeast and stony minerality followed by the red cherry and more subtle berry notes. The palate is penetrating, with excellent intensity, a bright sea breeze and almost exhilarating minerality as the red fruits mark that keeping time wonderfully. There is a touch of citrus and apple peel toward the finish which goes nicely long. This has the complete package of fruit, minerality, balance, acid and grace. Love it again. This bottle also had a couple years additional cellar time. 92+ to 93pts.

Much better than previous bottles, the extra 8 months in bottle really helped. From a mid-2017 release. nice red fruits and lees on the nose. Really pungent. Solid creaminess, great red fruits and good acidity. No bitter edges previous bottles had. Really quite nice, this really came together. So I think these need some time in bottle after release to really sing.

Lovely pink-salmon color; high intensity aromatics, elegant red fruit, strawberries, nectarines, yeast; palate is medium bodied, elegant fresh acidity throughout, pinot noir dominated red fruit, lovely length through the midpalate, ends in a tart lemon-lime; finish is long. Pnp. Just as good as the bottle on the 4th. Pours a beautiful orangey red in the glass. Fine mousse and perlage. Nose and palate are driven by enticing flavors of tart and sweet red cherries, nectarines, almond/cherry pits, rich yeasted pastry and fine creamy minerals. Midpalate is rich and full yet light on its feet thanks to acid that runs its way through all the fruits and pastry notes. Very refreshing and pleasurable medium (+) finish shows off the almond and cherry notes beautifully. Well balanced. Lovely.

Pnp. Pours a beautiful coppery pale red in the glass. Fine perlage and creamy mousse. Nose and palate are quite refined showing cherry, peach, rosy florals, rich yeasted pastry, slight bit of toast, and persistent flinty minerals. Midpalate was rich and creamy with persistent red fruits and minerals playing off the yeasty notes. Great acid and structure keeps this very focused and on point over 3 hours. Medium (+) finish is moderately complex and very pleasurable. A lovely wine and one with a great sense of place.

Popped an hour before dinner to let air out. Pours a gorgeous Aperol spritz color in the glass. Perlage is fine as is the mousse. Nose and palate are very open knit and expressive showing blood orange, macerated raspberry, peach, nectarine, apricot, marzipan, and rich lees followed by creamy, chalky minerals. Midpalate is perfectly textured and very lacy and airy with good red and stone fruits being delineated by the juicy acid. Finish is long with good complexity that shows off the citrus and minerals beautifully. Consider me a fan.

NV CAMILLE-SAVES CUVEE ROSE BOUZY- as stated on the back label [see photo], this had 60% Chardonnay Bouzy Grand Cru, 28% Pinot Noir Bouzy Grand Cru and 12% Bouzy Rouge, a well-known Bouzy red wine produced from grapes picked in the best locations in the “terroir”; the colour was dark pinkish red; it was full bodied, rich and bountiful with red raspberry and red cherry fruit most prominent; it really tasted like a good spritzy Pinot Noir which is surprising given the high % of Chardonnay, but I presume the still red overcomes any dominance; in fact, the Chardonnay contributes nicely to the overall acidity.

Another smashing Rosé, this time from Savés' Bouzy Grand Cru. It has a little more hue than the Egly that preceded it. Fruit toward strawberry and apple skin perceptions. Enhanced by beautiful sweet dusty clay/cocoa. Beautifully balanced, tart, and delicious swallow.

Light orange salmon color. Drank a couple glasses over 90 minutes. This was an excellent bottle, back to what I remembered and expect from these. The nose is vibrant with citrus, apple, apple peel, chalk, and more subtle strawberry that gradually builds. The palate also evolves well over the 90 minutes, it starts out racy and then becomes more creamy and lacy with strawberry, strawberry cream pie, citrus, and nice chalk minerality. Excellent. Now i'm glad there's more of these coming.

If my notes are right, this was disg'd in December 2014. 9 g/l for the dosage, as well. This is bottle #12, so there must be an award for working through an entire case so far. Kutch 2015 Lineup (Maro Grill, Laguna Beach): Light pink color, as usual. Lots of green apple aromas. Really showing more of the chardonnay component of the wine this time. Champagne by Joe (Tracy's, Mpls): Light-medium orange-salmon color. Drank a 2+ oz pour over 20 minutes. Very lovely and complex nose, yeast, a little smoke, raspberry, and toast. The palate seemed a bit one dimensional until near the end. I poured another ounce or so and found it evolving and becoming more interesting and more consistent with my previous experience with this bottle. Good structure, red fruits, trending to cherry and red berries, good acid and becomes cleaner with air. 60C, 28PN, 12Bouzy Rouge. 90+pts and maybe better than that with some additional time.

This has been sitting in my cellar for about eight years, and while it has always been a subtle rosé, the bottle age has resulted in an even more subtle, and perhaps even slightly faded, wine. The fruit seems a bit dried out, and what's left are notes of citrus peel, unripe strawberries and levain bread. Still drinks very well though, just not as well as I remember.

Drank with a dinner of Mexican food. This stuff continues to drink so well--terrific balance, fruit and acidity, with nothing out of place and it's really a satisfying bottle of bubbly. Need to source more, as between the Dethune NV Rose and this one, I could probably set myself up for a long time with just these two excellent bubblies.

Light-medium salmon color. Split bottle over 2 hours with the tasting menu. Excellent nose with bright strawberries, apple, apple, skin, cream, and mineral. The palate is deep, vibrant, very clean with red fruit profile, strawberry, then cherry and hints of red raspberry with a back drop of apple, and apple skin, mineral, light chalk, good length. Even better than the first bottle this summer.

Six months since the last bottle and the one we finished just last night, it reminds me again of how much I really enjoy drinking this Rose. It has a refreshing dryness, an austerity to it that comes via that dryness and the refreshing acidity. The red fruits are present, more refined and less obvious than say the Dethune Rose NV that I had over the weekend. The Dethune is a little more overt in the red fruit, whereas the Saves NV here is just a more refined, zesty. Once again, a great bottle of Rose is the Saves NV for $50 US--love it.

Dead, Dante's, Wine (Chicago, IL): There's a fair bit of resemblance to the Andre Clouet rose in this bottle. Dare I say that it's the Bouzy terroir showing through? I have a hard time pinpointing exactly what it is, but some similar elements are the very prominent cranberry note, with just a hint of the requisite bitterness, as well as a very chalky texture. On top of those elements, there are some very pleasant sweet strawberry components -- this comes off quite round, though sweet this is not. I think it's just that this is a plumper rose, with some more fruit.

Nose: There is a very perfumed nature to the nose with strawberries, cranberries, roses, citrus, and chalky minerals.
Taste: Medium bodied with medium/high acdidity. There is a creaminess to the feel along with strawberries, cranberries, baking spices, crushed rocks, roses and some citrus.
Overall: This is a gorgeous NV Rose. It's well balanced with a feminine side.

Camille Saves Rose.

First bottle since summer, when at that time I discovered how much I enjoyed this Rose. I bought a handful more, they finally have arrived. We got this chilled down to a great temp and let it rip. Lots of dried strawberry, apple and in this bottle, I noticed some light bread dough notes. Where it sings is pulling these notes all together into a lean and driven style that goes fantastic with food and is refreshing and delicious. I really dig this Rose.

Pretty decent sparkling rose, but something is missing in this for it to be great to me. Can't quite put my finger on it. I think maybe it's the consistency of the flavor throughout the taste. There's a touch of strawberry and similar red fruits. Some bubbles which maybe are a touch on the coarser side. I think my take-away is I'd rather spend a few more dollars on a Vilmart (or a lot more dollars on a Krug) or less and do a Schramsberg/Argyle/etc.
Popped and poured.

Book Club - my turn (Hatam - Mission Viejo): Looks light cherry colored in the bottle but a soft pink when poured into the glass. Very fine bubbles and light strawberry nose but this was still cold when I poured it. Superb flavors from the acid on the attack, mid palate strawberry and apple, to the mineral notes at the finish. Very nimble mouthfeel. The salinity was very noticeable, added to the complexity and bang.
Beautiful pink sparkler, my favorite.

Been a long time since I drank some of this bubbly, damn is it good. It has many features of a leaner bubbly, with the red fruit of strawberry and apple are both lean in tone and the finish is drying and has a lean impression with a bread dough note, too. I also found a cool saline quality to it, and all together, this is a real winner. Will seek some out for the growing champagne inventory of the cellar!

Had this the day after the Vilmart had such a wonderful showing. This is a good, but not great champagne. It's got the lightly fruity start like a lot of roses, but where it falls down a bit is the very quick finish. It has flavor and then it's just gone. Relatively fine bubbles and they are on the softer side. Have a few more and planning a head to head champagne tasting in a few months so will be interesting to see how it compares.

Strawberry pink / red with plenty of fine beads in the glass. Quite an intense nose with plenty of fresh strawberries, raspberries, biscuit and brioche. Dry though with a highish residual sugar, medium bodied with plenty of acidity. The palate is very fruity with loads of strawberries, cream, citrus, brioche and chalk. Medium length. Serve it a little warmer for the flavour profiles to really come out. Enjoyable and definitely a crowd pleaser.

This was a recently purchased bottle of the Saves Rose and was still very young and tightly coiled with bright citrus, green and red apples, strawberries, minerals, chalk, pencil shavings, touch of yeast, and a wisp of cream starting form on the finish. One of the best aspects of this rose is how light it is on the palate, but still packed with flavor. This is one of my favorite NV roses on the market and can even rival some vintage roses selling for almost twice the price.
An older 2009 disgorgement (L09 xxx product code). Remarkably fruity, almost confit of strawberrys on the palate. Interesting these have certainly gotten sweeter over time(!), the tannic bite of youth has faded into kind of a very ripe burgundy note. A great bottle for sunshine in the park.

This was bought from the main French distributor in late-2009 and the tannic sense of red-fruit bite has faded into a really quite sweet fruit bouquet. I think I almost preferred this younger, but I can understand why the aged bottles would be described as the "better" wine by others. Either way: for the €20 +tax wholesale pricing it's a ridiculous bargain.

Transparent pink in the glass. Reticent, ephemeral nose of strawberries and mineral. Bright, acidic red fruits on the palate with hints of tannin. The mineral content is astounding - a full on assault of metal shavings and rock shards - and the finish drives this point home.

The Camille Saves rose will always have a place in my stash of champagne. It is not the most complex rose, but it is just flat out delicious. It is a deep pink color in the glass with strawberry notes on the nose. On the palate this is delicate and precise with a nice balance between the fruit and minerals. I got flavors of raspberries, strawberries, red apples, bright citrus, and crushed rocks this time. This champagne is most comfortable being consumed outside on a warn summer afternoon. The Camille Saves is one of those rose champagnes that is almost impossible not to like.

The is just a wonderful NV rose. Very delicate and fresh with lots on minerals, raspberries, citrus, red apples, and a touch of spice. Even though it doesn't have the complexity of something like the Pierre Peters rose Albane, it is so light and fresh that you could drink this all day long without having to think about it. It would be very hard to believe if someone told me they did not like the Camille Saves rose.

The Camille Saves rose is one of those great go to champagnes that always tastes good - especially on a late summer afternoon in the sun. It is not overly complex, but it doesn't have to be given its ripe strawberry and raspberry flavors, which are balanced perfectly by its minerality. This has nice depth to it, but also stays light and fluffy at the same time. It is virtually impossible not to like this wine.

Opened to celebrate the arrival of our new puppy! As per previous bottles, this is just lovely. More rounded than the last couple of bottles bit still with a savoury, slightly tart full body. Has the structure to age further (this bottle is approx 18 mths old) but I could drink this every day as it is. ***1/2

This continues to be one of the most refreshing roses available at any price. It has wonderful red fruit flavors and nice minerality, but it is the lightness and delicacy of the Saves rose that sets it apart. Just a wonderful summer sparkler that can be enjoyed in just about any situation. It would likely be very difficult to find someone who would not enjoy this champagne.

Been almost 2 years since last bottle. Still bright and lifted with expressive fruit and mineral acidity. Floral and citrus notes add a bit of harmony. Served with homemade pizza along side an '00 VT and this disappeared.

My first Saves Rose and I was surprised with the pronounced Chardonnay character this has. I usually prefer more Pinot heavy Roses, so this wasn't exactly my cup of tea. But anyway, it is certainly an excellent inexpensive bottle of Champagne.

Explosion of fruit in the air as soon as the cork was popped. Rich Salmon/Pink hue. Lively mousse. In the glass, full notes of Mineral, Strawberry, Pomegranate and Yeast. Matching palate of Pomegranate, Strawberry and Mineral followed by a Brioche and Lemon finish. Crisp, bright and nicely balanced Rosé.

This continues to be a party in a bottle. Not overly complex, but extremely enjoyable with wonderful fresh pinot flavors along with strawberries, cream, minerality, and nice acidity. If you let this sit in the back of your mouth for several seconds you can almost taste sweet tart candies, but without the confectionary sugar flavors. Certainly one of the best NV rose's on the market for current drinking.

A fruity, minerally, and tangy delight. This is a rose that is pleasing to all categories of champagne drinkers. While it is not overly complex, it is wonderfully fresh and very well balanced with those wonderful Bouzy ripe pinot flavors. Go pick some of this up if you can find it between $50 to $55. A very good find.

The Camille Saves rose continues to be a very good non-vintage rose champagne. While it is not as complex as some, it is very well balanced with wonderful strawberry and mineral flavors. The acidity also keeps everything in check and contributes to the overall freshness. This is wonderful as an aperatif.

About a year of bottle-age. Amazing red-pink colour, crisp raspberry acidity, strawberries dominate on the palate. Finish is slightly tart, there is a hint of creaminess there too, the quality of the fruit is obviously high and I think this will develop beautifully over the next few years. I won't touch another for a year now. ***1/2 now, but sure to improve.

The Camille Saves rose continues to drink very well and is a perfect champagne to share with non-champagne drinkers as almost everyone will come away impressed. This has wonderful minerality to go with a slight sweet tart flavor from the pinot fruit flavors and the acidity. This botte was not quite at the same level as the NV Billecart Salmon rose that we had on New Year's eve.

I may not have been able to transition to Pinot Noir this night, but Rose Champagne was just fine. Pale pink in color. Lovely nose - acidic and bright with strawberries and red flowers. Very bright on the palate - soapy-ish in a good way. Very winey with red berry fruit. Soft but bright bubbles. Really hit my sweet spot right now. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17/20.

Once again this was a wonderful rose with a very nice balance between fresh pinot fruit flavors and tart (almost sweet tart like) acidity. However, for whatever reason this bottle had slightly less effervesance than previous bottles.

This is still one of the best NV Rose's on the market and is absolutely worth its $50+ price tag. It has a beautiful tangy flavor with subtle but forward and light pinot flavors. Exverything is in perfect balance. This is the perfect rose to serve to someone who has never had a rose champagne before.

Had two bottles of this rose for the first time with a two family friends in our backyard. The Camille Saves Rose was just delicious with so many nice fruit flavors including strawberries, raspberries, rubarb, crushed rocks, minerals and cream. However the best thing about it was how well everything was balanced. In addition, some rose's almost have too much confectionary sweetness, but the Saves gives sweet flavors in a much more subtle way. Although it wasn't the most complex champagne I have ever had, it was very pleasurable to drink and got rave reviews from everyone at the table. This will likely turn into one of our main go to rose champagnes in the future. In addition, at right around $50 per bottle, it is a relative value compared to other more expensive and less enjoyable choices from bigger houses.

At first this drank like a still rose that just happened to have bubbles: very minerally on the nose and palate, with just a slight impression of cool fruit. With some air though, more of the leesier elements came out and added some nice complexity. Very enjoyable.

charming mature pink color, think velvety rose, not cotton candy. very open, red fruited nose with some honey butter notes. starts off almost red jolly rancher like, and sweettarts-- and then settles into a mineral almost irony mid palate to a chalky finish with a lightness to it that suprises. not that it is not concentrated or short, just a delicate bubble lift in the back end. for so many diiferent flavors it is suprisingly integrated. note : i did not drink this ice cold, and if I had, i imagine i might find a bit more crisp, but also more sugary.

12.0% alcohol. Absolutely superb rose. Light rose color. Pretty nose of cherry, brioche, and minerals. In the mouth, concentrated and pure, with a burst of flavor rarely found in any wine, even more rarely found in rose Champagne. Cherry and strawberry fruit mingles with a light floral and citrus note, along with yeasty peaks before racy acidity steals the show. The finish ends long and pure, with a delectable sour cherry note. A

My style of rosé, no confectionary flavors here at all, dry enough to emphasize freshness and cut but certainly not aggressively dry like the Ledru, just very tasty pinot flavors complemented by some seriously intense minerality - "metal shavings" is an understatement, it practically tastes like there's shrapnel in the glass. There is some seriously impressive character here for an NV.

Masters of Wine Champagne Tasting (San Francisco, CA): Complex and honest. Huge bead. Medium-pink color. Strawberries, raspberries, and citrus flavors. Tons of raw earthinesses to it – a characteristic I don’t typically see in rosé. Medium-long finish. Full-bodied, one of the weightier Rosés that I can recall, and personally I love the style. Nice QPR. Impressive all-around.

Dark rose in color with a orange cast; This champagne had a shy nose with ripe pear aromas. It was fairly acidic with strawberry flavors and underlying minerality (always a positive for my tastes). Good structure and very enjoyable. It compared favorably with Billecart Salmon Rose NV and Gosset Rose NV for somewhat less $$. [~$50 on release; Matched well with a Brie-type cheese; Would buy this again]

$43.20 retail, after discount. Beautiful, dark Rose color. Gorgeous nose of red fruit and toast. On the palate, it's deftly balanced, though still rather powerful, with toast and red fruit.

Six months since the last bottle and the one we finished just last night, it reminds me again of how much I really enjoy drinking this Rose.

There is some seriously impressive character here for an NV.

If I could afford it, this would be my house Champagne. That being said, this year's release did not impress as much as last year's, but still a fun bottle of bubbly.

$43.20 retail, after discount. Beautiful, dark Rose color. Gorgeous nose of red fruit and toast. On the palate, it's deftly balanced, though still rather powerful, with toast and red fruit. Near-perfect acid structure, and creamy mouthfeel. Long, graceful finish. I'd say this wine has years of positive development ahead of it... Excellent. Up there with the Andre Clouet as the best NV Rose I've had in a long time...

Very Pinot, very good. Fairly complex nose with cherry fruit, floral and cheese. Drinking wonderfully.

A very dry rose grand cru from Bouzy. The blend is primarily pinot noir and just goes down like water slaking a thirsty camel. Great stuff!
