Bottled 5/2014 (presumably 2013 base), disgorged 6/2017 Lime blossom, lemon curd, oyster, yuzu - immeasurably better after open for 2 hours. Zesty and fresh but still with generosity, fattening up gorgeously. 94-95

Medium gold. Pronounced nose of brioche some funk, on the palate high acid, medium alcohol, full body. Apples almonds, ginger, more oxidized than I prefer, very restrained bubbles, long finish. It packs intensity on the palate but also finishes kind of soft. Good.

Chalky and saline enough for oysters. 2016 base and disgorged 2020, so some time to settle which is important for champagnes. Previous bottles were tightly wound and had an acidic streak; this one is just about in the zone with evident aromatics and nice palate texture.
Bottled May 2017, disgorged February 2021. Quite golden, and not very fizzy. Open, airy nose. Creamy, and with a butterscotch note that then developed through the midpalate into something sharper and greener. Lingering (but not especially delicious) finish. This doesn't seem as straightforwardly tasty as the 2022 disgorged version.

brief impression. 2023 disgorgement. hay color with fine mousse and active delicate fine bead. lemon and almond pastry nose. light bodied with high acidity and an exceptionally suave mouthfeel. really dances on the palate. flavors echo the nose with lemon rind and green apple on the finish. a top tier cuvée, my first experience with the maker and won’t be my last.
April 2020 disgorgement (based on 2017 vintage) So delicious. Beautiful chardonnay fruit - all Grand Cru fruit. Lovely toast, baked pastry, ripe citrus, yellow fruit. Seamless entry, extremely fine bead. Wonderful length. Consistently, one of my favorite wines in the Agrapart lineup.

Drank over a few days, tasty the whole time. Great acid and a really fine mousse, biscuit, a little chocolate, and buttery notes alongside a bit of peachiness.

Lot May 19, May 22. So I guess that’s 18 base vintage? Nose is lemon curd and brioche. Round body up front and the fruit is particularly ripe, candied lemon and leaning stonefruit intensity. Good acidity, good length. Delicious. 5g/l but does not feel heavy at all, very well balanced. If I’m nitpicking, it’s a little thin on the finish….but at this price point I don’t know if nitpicking is warranted.

Grand Jury du Vin - Republic of Georgia; 11/1/2023-11/9/2023 (Republic of Georgia then stopover in Paris and Dijon): En magnum. This is actually vintage 2008. Expressive nose displaying sweet pure yellow fruit, baked apple, a hint of lemon curd, light honey, white flower, sweet spices and limestone. Very good concentration, generous sweet yellow fruit, rich and sweet but also pure and energetic, bright acidity, strong mineral, and a long sweet yellow fruit driven finish. It clearly demonstrates the 08 greatness.

Pretty lean but enough body to keep it balanced. Citrusy nose - not as chalky as some of their other bottlings. Mouthwatering. Very fun out of a magnum

My last bottle of the 2013 disgorgement, it was consumed alongside another identical one, and there was substantial bottle variation that was universally recognized by our dinner party. The first bottle was a very good wine, with youth and vibrancy, great structure, and subtle flavors and aromas; it was delicious. This second bottle, however, was outstanding, similar to the first in structure and youth but with bigger aromas and flavors: green apple, pear, hints of bitter orange, yeasty, brioche, and with a slight heft that made it extremely satisfying.

Very pale straw color with enticing aromas of green and yellow apples, lemon oil, white flower, subtle spice, patisserie, hazelnut and chalk. On the palate it’s medium-full bodied and impeccably balanced with a delicate creamy mousse and vibrant acidity. Its layered flavors are just as impressive as its aromas with a long citrus tinged, chalky slightly saline finish. 12% abv| SRP – $79.99.
100% chardonnay from four Grand Cru villages of Avize, Cramant, Oiry and Oger in the Côte des Blancs; Based on the 2018 vintage, with fully 80% reserve wines from 2017 (some 40% of which raised in barrel)| 5g/L dosage. Disgorged May 2022.

The nose is pristine and clear right away as it is filled with a lot of sailing notes and crushed rocks, along with lemon peel, pears, green apples, white fruits, acacia flowers, biscuits, and warm bread. The medium body feel is refined and balanced with mouthwatering and tart high acidity. This is from a 2018 lot and It is drinking absolutely gorgeous right now. This could develop a little bit with a couple of years of age but is really meant to be enjoyed right now and over the next couple of years.

Bought at Atheneum in Beaune. Brioche, croissant, candied lemon, wet stone, red apple. Very nice and fine mousse. Medium+ acidity, long finish. Not much development at day 2, a hint of tangerine

Preferred vs my last bottle. This time May 17 base and April 22 disgorgement. 5g/l I remembered this as being more austere but this bottle despite excellent acidity also had a nice roundness to the fruit, very chalky and mineral and just overall delicious.
NYE at Pappas Steakhouse. Sommelier suggestion which was a good one. I would say this was a little bit brighter in acidity. Lower/zero dosage which I enjoy.
Took advantage of the WHWC sale and picked up some bottles for the Cellar.

Good. Seemed more Brut than Extra Brut. Been several years but it seemed like the 7 Crus was much better QPR. Will have to try again. February 2017 disgorgement.

A champagne that delivers year in and year out, based on the 2018 vintage this shows notes of lime peel, lemon balm, orchard fruits, brioche and chamomile? The palate is brisk, energetic, chalky yet with a fine mousse, along with a rich, succulent mid-palate finishing long and focused.Yum....

Taste of Autumn at Helene Darroze (Helene Darroze): Disgorged March 2022. I'd normally swerve such a young Champagne, but this was recommended by the somm as drinking beautifully in an aperitif style, and it certainly delivered on that. Light on its feet, even ethereal, like drinking a soft lemony cloud, with plenty of refreshment, minerality and indeed excitement. Seriously good in its style.

Base of may 2015, disgorged in January 2018. Already showing some of the complexity of evolved champagnes. Slight toasted notes, great minerality, a bit of candied fruit with balanced acidity. Delicious bottle!

Despite the very recent disgorgement in 22 this showed beautifully already. Of course still a bit tight and young, but lots of minerality here along fine fresh fruit. Some interesting iron, rusty note on the nose, all expertly balanced. Good length too. 17/20.

Casual champagnes: 2016 base, 2018 disgorgement. Best Agrapart that I have had, no underripe fruit or greenness but had the signature high acidity. Lovely salinity and a full mouthfeel that made me guess a Pinot-heavy champagne.

PnP, enjoyed in one sitting. GC Blanc de Blancs fruit from Avize. Linear and on the green apple to lemon spectrum with a lot of mineral drive on the midpalate. Crisp and firm at this stage but nice weight of substance beneath and balanced acids.

I’ve had this Agrapart in my cellar for at least 10 years. It was lovely, refreshing as an aperitif for a dinner party with friends. Refined with integrated flavors and lovely balance between fruit and acidity. If tasted blind, I wouldn’t have guessed it was an Extra Brut. Comments by others were spot on in describing this wine. Lemon, green apple and brioche.

At L’Albatros in Cleveland $162. Disgorged September 2019. 100% Chardonnay. My son wanted me to drive him to school for his freshman year of college in Cleveland. And we live in Houston (roughly 1,500 miles for the geographically inclined). And my wife decided to fly. And it was my birthday. So yeah, I think I deserved this bottle of "farmer fizz" when my wife and I went out to dinner (we left the boys in the hotel with a pizza--the definition of win-win). Golden in color with a fine sparkle and lovely aromas of baked apple and pear with a healthy dose of fresh croissant. The palate is quite dry but not as tart as I had expected given the disgorgement date. Lovely, bright, vivacious, and full of fruit. Whoa. Extra Brut is a tough sell for some but smack dab in my wheelhouse. Outstanding.
Bottle #2 of 6, this is BdB, Grand Cru fruit, DG 09/2018. Enjoyed with friends, on the back porch, with some chips and fun conversation. Brilliant Chardonnay fruit, showing fresh citrus cut and some green apple, alongside sage/basil, chalk, patisserie, and wet stones. Bright and incisive finish, gorgeous acidity and clarity. Drink now through 2024+.

My last bottle of the 2008 disgorgments, and I am mourning its absence from the cellar, while also celebrating the outstanding pleasure it delivered. Still-intense effervescence, with great aromas and flavors of yeast, toast, brioche, apples and pears, and a lovely floral underpinning. Great body, and an excellent food wine, we transitioned this from an apertivo to our first course fish. Outstanding, magnificent wine. Drink to 2035.

Heard a lot of euphoric things about agrapart so I had high expectations.
At first gentle autolytics with mild vanilla and hints of oak, quickly followed by some clean lemon. So at first not so impressed and even a bit funky weird taste while the champagne had a bit air contact.
After a bit time really nice acidity and some intense green apple which again fades away quickly and is replaced by wet cold mineralic stone.
There is also a nice subtle smokiness coming through.
So overall very precise, clean and focused and excellent dosage balance, with good acidity and moderate complexity. Drinks like a charm… that being said, its somehow nice but not very memorable. I could drink this a lot if it was very cheap which it isnt. So while people applaud its excellent entry level quality the price is already above some amazing vintage champagnes.
2020 disgorgment, 2017 base. This is surprisingly open for business and incredibly delicious. Slightly oxidative with some richness but still tons of acid and good cut. Totally in my wheelhouse, I like this more than I've ever liked the 7 cru.

Dinner at Trelissick Crescent (Trelissick Crescent, Ngaio, Wellington, New Zealand): Very fresh bottle that displays the most- vivid aromas of fresh bread yeast that I have ever encountered in a Champagne. 2015 disgorgement. A bit surprising upon opening: richer than I expected, with white orchard fruits and lots of brioche. Citrus started coming through with air, and it eventually became leaner and more steely (which is where I thought it would start). I felt like the mousse was a bit coarse. It never lost the fullness of its body even as it developed a more linear nature.

This particular Cuvee, the Terroirs (I have never seen a vintage version of this) is remarkably consistent, a significant step up above the 7 Crus in my opinion. This is firm and sharply etched, certainly not fully ready, but with some time in the glass the ripe core gradually fleshes out and the yeasty brioche nose develops. I like the precision of this Champagne, and the penetrating profile it shows consistently.

This is my first bottle from this highly regarded grower. I think that it his entry level cuvée and it is made from Chardonnay grown in Grand Cru plots at Avize, Oger, Cramant & Oiry. Fizz is visibly quite strong in the glass and very noticeable but not aggressive on the palate. The bouquet on the nose is very fresh with a citrus touch and gentle fragrance which reminds of an early Spring day. The palate is medium bodied at most, fresh and focussed but not quite bone dry, probably due to dosage, showing aromas following through from the nose with an added touch of biscuit, good balancing acidity, a certain roundness and backbone and good length. Ideal for apéritif, good with lobster but a bit too light for goat cheese. Very elegant and very good. I am keen to try some of his more up market vintage cuvées but the prices are discouraging.

This wine had notes of green apple, citrus peel, wet stone, white mushrooms and oyster shells. The palate was fresh yet delicate with a clean and focused mid-palate with fine bubbles that led to a straight finish. This is a high-quality Champagne grower and one which I will come back to.

Although young (disgored in January 2018 with a 2013/2014 base) this wine is openwith precise aromatics, nice toast, minerality and yellow fruit at the core. This is a good entry level Champagne worth 92/93 points. For more it would need just a touch more sweetness. While it‘s drinking well right now I would wait another 3-4 years as it will certainly gain.
TN: Super intense nose with layers of fine brioche and toast, yellow fruit and hints of minerality. Nicely precise. On the palate super fresh, well integrated acidity, no hard edges, very fine mousse. Quite balanced and harmonious (but with upside). The aromas are similar to the bouquet with toast, more minerality, citrus and yellow fruit. Medium- length with a citrus and minerality driven finish.
Decanting: Not decanted, no decanting needed.
Glass: From the Lehmann Champagne glass it shows very well as described above. From the Jakobinerhütte Champagne glass it shows a bit too much minerality and is slightly astringent.

Similar in style to the last bottle although this is from the 02/20 disgorgement. Maybe a touch more spice added to the tart, citrusy and mineral style of this wine. With fresh from the coast yellowfin poke, it works so fabulously well with the tuna. I'm not sure if I used the stopper incorrectly, but the remainder of the bottle didn't hold its effervescence when returning to it after a few days in the fridge, but the core of the base wine was still there.

From the 02/2019 disgorgement. I like the drive and vivacity of this wine. Bright, citrusy, mineral and focused. Tart fruit flavors like Granny Smith apple and some lemon curd. A little bit of a yeasty note sort of in the Pépière Clisson idiom. I get the sense that this would improve with a bit of cellar time but I'm fairly new to cellaring Agrapart myself as it has generally been something I drink in restaurants in the past.

*Disgorgement: June 2019 *Dosage: 5 g/L *Basewine: 2015 and 2014 (40/60 according to Jancis)
The «Terroirs» is a blend of 2 vintages with grapes from four villages in the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Oger and Oiry. 100 % Chardonnay coming from grand cru vines only.
Tasting note📝 Pale straw colour with a greenish tint.
The nose displays a citrusy character with a mix of crisp green apple. Very classic and elegant, displaying a certain purity on the nose. A stony charachter (crushed stone) appear as well after some sniffing..
On the palate this bottle appear chiseled, showing quite good tension and decent grip. Showing a certain «linearity» and I am tempted to state that this definitely comes across as a BdB. Quite fresh and a certain weightlessness. Slightly brisky. Nothing out of place and the quality is evident, but I am missing something, but not sure what.. maybe slightly more depth or intensity? I am not sure.. Give this 2 years of bottle age and we might be there.. Fairly decent length.
A lovely bottle of Champagne, but I slightly preferred the quality of Jacquesson No. 742. However, I really loved the style of this Agrapart. Score: 89-91 depending on how this will develop. Scored 90 points

This stunning Blanc de Blancs Champagne is made entirely from Grand Cru vineyards in the Cote de Blancs. It begins with gorgeous aromatics of sliced apples, lemon zest, white florals, toast and crushed stones that all take shape in the glass. On the palate this is focused and precise, with a well-defined texture and outstanding overall balance. It goes on to display wonderful freshness and minerality that highlights the finish. This is a tremendous wine from Agrapart that is drinking beautifully today and should go on to offer at least a decade long drinking window. This is a very precise and clean champagne, made in a reductive style. Lots of lemon, lime and grapefruit initially, followed by shortbread and crumble topping, lemon sherbert, a little vanilla and a long saline finish. Good texture, really fresh and elegant.

Utterly delicious B de B. Fresh gorgeous fruit, lovely creaminess, not quite as mineral as Gimonnet. Great start to our Churchill's Partner's Christmas dinner!!

Disgorged January 2018. A very good and welcoming wine, good evolution and with a yeasty profile, rich but well managed on that side and really felt drinking at or close to top. We worry about this type of wine when we have them with many years post disgorgement as they do tend to lose their energy, but this was on the money. Solid 92

Delicious bubbly. Subtle but complex. Nose shows honeyed apple, floral and lees notes, a hint of citrus. Slightly oxidative but still fresh and delicious.

lovely mineral nose, on the elegant gentle side, i personally really appreciate this wine in the making, done in respect of nature, good terroir reflection, on the palate it comes across a bit sour but overall a great bottle, potentially 93 with bottle age

I don’t have great champagne vocabulary, but I would say this is fairly fruit driven, nectarine and citrus, medium body, w excellent acidity. Not getting much nutty or toast here. Very good overall.

Forgive me to repeat, word for word, my review of the previous bottle I had of this wine, because my views are exactly the same : "Disgorged January 2013, so if I recall correctly how he makes his Terroirs cuvee, this bottle probably contains his 2008 and 2009 vintages. If anyone has more detail on that, your clarification would be welcome!
This is an outstanding wine, with pear, peach and apple aromas and the heft and body of a ten-year old grand cru. Although its bubbles are powerful and persistent, the drinking experience is akin to a lightly-oaked Chablis Grand Cru with a decade of cellaring.

More ripe with apricot and nectarine. Some also butter and yeast notes from longer lees maturation with round, rich palate with freshness and herbaceous notes. More classic Cote de Blancs.

100% Chardonnay from Grand Cru vineyards in Cote de Blancs - Cramant, Avize, Oger and Oiry - and aged 36 months on lees.
Greenish-gold in colour, plenty of acidity and chalkiness, good cut but unfortunately lacking in complexity and depth. Just a rather bland champagne with not much going on.

May 2017 disgorgement, which my research suggests is 2011 base. This being 2011 base explains why I like it a lot less than my previous bottle. Not bad, but this is thinner, less exciting, slightly bitter. Meh.

Disgorged in 2016, blend of 2013 and 2012 vintages. Dosage 5 gram. Blanc de blancs grand cru from plots in avize, oger, cramant, oiry. Very minerals with lemon zest, citrus peel, great intensity on the palate with focused acidity. Nice balance on fruits, minerals, acidity, and fine delicate bubbles.

Current disgorgement. Really needs an hour to open up. Feels like it has electricity running through it such is the acid level. Chalky, salinity, oyster shell. Maybe just a touch hollow on the fruit level at this young age. I think the fruit needs 3-6 years to unfurl into the scaffolding, it seems just a touch bare boned. Drink with oysters definitely. Medium finish of acid spray/lemon/seashell. 89. Much better the next day, better fleshed out. This is a wine to put on fat in the cellar for a few years. 90.

A few at S.K.Y. (Chicago, IL): Lot May 2013, disgorged November 2016. Brilliant, and one of the best showings of this wine that I can remember. Tons of sweet fruit and chalkiness. Ample acidity, but there's a richness here that keeps this from feeling too lean. In fact, this is the fattest, most generous bottle of this wine that I remember.

Great bottle - really pays to leave this cuvee alone for a few years after disgorgement. This one was based on 2013, and disgorged in early 2016. Vivid, focused, and very fresh fruit that is entirely shot through with chalk, very saline on the finish. Such good and true wine.

Bottle did not indicate a disgorgement, but this is probably the 2014/2013 blend. Citrus, pear, green apple, just a hint of toast on the nose. The palate is bone-dry and intensely chalky, this is almost dryingly tannic from the chalkiness, with the minerals way out in front of the fruit. I love the intense minerality here, but I could see how this isn't for everyone.

This is indeed my kind of NV Champagne - the floral elements, the tones of apples, elements of maturity and a mineral footprint. The acidity creates a solid spine, yet the wine is balanced, approachable and good length. In the landscape of expensive NV wines this comes as a great choice!

Lot May 2015 Disgorged Jan 2018 Dosage 5g/l Bdb with very fine bubbles. Dissipates quickly in the glass. Aromatically it shows white citrus fruits, floral, some flint and ginger spices. The style here is lean but very approachable with good energy, sweet citrus fruits and a mineral laden body. This is not too nervy or electrifying like some other champagne but there is a good level of sappiness here.

At tasting. Brief note. 2015 vintage. Disgorged Jan. 2018. Super fresh nose and palate show white florals, buttery flaky pastry, bitter cherry pits, and creamy chalky limestone. Midpalate has great creamy texture thanks to the limestone minerals and fine perlage and mousse that make this quite elegant. Tight laser acid core drives this to a long citrus and cherry finish. This was quite good but had me thinking BdN, not BdB.

Medium expressive nose, granny smith, oxidized apple peel, almond and limestone. Medium concentration, deeply tone, ripe yellow fruit with a hint of red, medium fine medium abundant mousse, good acidity and mineral, and a medium finish with almond cookie at the end. Good nutty expression and the slightly oxidative style provide a reasonable complexity. Enjoyable but a step or two below the 06 CdC.

HDH auction at Spiaggia; 5/17/2018-5/19/2018 (Chicago, IL): Lot May 2014; disgorged February 2017, 5 g/L dosage. Quite mineral and lean on the nose and palate, and to be honest, none of that dosage shows through. This is an intense wine, with tons of acidity and tart apple flavours. The finish is long, but it's mostly just the acidity here. Not really my cup of proverbial tea.

Our first visit (and not last) to Au 36 in Hautvillers. They promote the varietal aspects of champagnes offering a typical flight of four: one each of the main varietals and an assemblage of two or more. Having done that flight we transitioned to this bottle, which was excellent and wonderful though I took no precise notes at this point - the distraction of friends and relatives intervening in the scholarship. It was good enough to be gone by the next day.

Salil does Chicago 3; 4/6/2017-4/8/2017 (Chicago, IL): Lot May 2012, disgorged August 2015. Tons of citrus. This is lean, minerally, and with tons of refreshing cut. Heaps of acidity that is enamel-stripping. The finish here is really nice, with a chalky texture mixed with tart fruit. However, on the midpalate, there's some sweet orchard fruit that adds a lot of interest. The best bottle of this I've had so far.

Tasted blind. From magnum bottle. Jason's BBQ. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Thin legs. Nose is clean, shy medium- intensity, with aromas of bread and briny sea-shell minerality. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12%), medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of citrus lemon-lime complementing the chalky briny sea-shell minerality which is the focus. Medium+ finish. Very good quality. My guess was Blanc de Blancs Extra-Brut. Lean, clean and easy drinking style. This magnum probably at a different stage of development from the regular bottle I last tried. Even more shy.

Taste: Medium bodied with high acidity. The acidity has a lot of punch to it, but stays crisp with pears, apples, mineral tones, white fruits, saline, and white florals.

#alternativepairings (Chicago, IL): Hah, twice in three days. This is pretty much the same as the last bottle I had -- good taut acidity and white fruit. Super dense chalkiness on the palate, but I feel that a little bit more density as far as flavour is concerned would do this wine well.

Dinner at Hai Yen (Chicago, IL): Hilariously, there's a spot on the back label where the disgorgement date and the dosage is supposed to go. That spot is completely empty. In any case, this is a pretty solid champagne, with a good crisp minerality and tons of chalky texture; if anything, a little bit more ripeness here could have filled out the body a bit better. There's a touch of green that makes me suspect that this might be 2011 base, but who knows?

Based on 2013, disgorged in March 2016. I opened the wrong one, this one needs more time in the bottle. I made the mistake of drinking the Terroirs cuvee too young in the past, and it's always good but it shows disjointed and incompletely compared to when it's been allowed just a few years. This one has very nice potential, even though it shows the somewhat thin nature of the vintage. There is good fruit, lots of chalk that stains the finish and lingers, and a perfumed and lovely mouthfeel. Three hours in, the wine showed more harmoniously and with more resonance and impact. I will do my best to leave untouched what I have left from this disgorgement for another 2-3 years.

From Magnum. This pours a fairly typical light straw yellow. The nose light, tight and reductive leaning of lemon zest, mango, cardamom, mint, and cantloupe. I don't usually get this quantity of fruit in Champagne which is interesting. The palate us just a tad off dry (5g/l) with medium plus acid. The wine finishes medium plus finish on mango and cantaloupe. Not really the style I usually go for in champagne as this is clearly in the light and lean Champagne style.

A big step up from the 7 Crus bottling and one of my favorites at this "basic" pricepoint. Clearly a very clean blanc de blanc on the nose. Great texture that's creamy and is an interesting contrast to the sharpness of the wine. Great chardonnay and an excellent value.

Powerful, yeasty, energetic nose with chalky minerality and a great depth of crushed stone, hint of lanolin, sour apple, greengages, and unripe apricot and peaches. Excellent acidity on the palate, with the fine and discipline perlage generating a silky, dynamic mouthfeel. A tad one-dimensional, but altogether a characterful, mineral, grown-up champagne that speaks as an eloquent witness for the terroir. Quite full-bodied for a blanc de blancs, with yeast, toast, melon, and a hint of acacia honey on the finish. Harmonious. Needs air.
This is outstanding value and will continue to drink well for a decade or so. As with most serious Champagnes, this requires food. Gravadlax and horseradish sauce worked very well.

Cellar raiding at Jeff's: Pleasant, but this just didn't hold up after the Filaine and Marguet wines. Can't Bear Another Outstanding Lunch? (Taberna Palo Cortado - Madrid): From this medium producer I never liked that so prominent smell of yeast, becoming lush even. On the palate is quite short in all aspects : acidity , depth and length. Never fills the palate. Nor should its supposed dryness is calling for a new drink. Not worths the effort, in my humble opinion.

I'd call this a "tweener" as it has a little of everything but not enough of anything to stake a claim. Very light colored and done bubbles. Nose shows mineral and citrus. Light ripe lemon and some salinity. But lacking any depth or body to make exciting. Medium acid and decent pairing with the plethora of seafood. Not a good QPR.

Happy Birthday YB, HS 2016 (Wah Lok): Tasted blind. Reached venue late, so after 2 hours of air time in bottle already. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Thin legs. Fine bubbles. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of saline minerality, toast bread and yeast, hint of florality. Developing. On the palate, dry, racy palate-ripping high acidity (love this!), medium- alcohol (12%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sour lemon, citrus lime, stony saline minerality. Long finish. Great mouth-feel, with the sour lemon really enveloping the whole mouth. Very good quality. Lean style with acidity as the focus. Nose rather shy at this point. Let's see how this develops over the next 3-4 years.

Lot May 2011, disgorged February 2015. A paleish golden color. On the nose first and foremost you get a bunch of baking spices but there is a lot going on and it's all good: ripe apple, apricot, chalk, a whiff of toast and some torrefaction. The nose really is quite the epitome of purity, a true classic. The mousse is vigorous and really persistent. Mouthfeel while not huge is dense and firm - very vinous. Bone dry with lively acidity. There are notes of apple, toast and spice (this especially on the finish) but it really is the mouthfeel and the structure that this wine is all about. I enjoyed this with my SOF and for the first time ever I never felt the need to put the bottle back in the fridge after opening. This is such a well-structured wine that the warmer it got and the more it breathed the better it became. It possesses superb, racy chalkiness to it that makes it feel like a really nice white Bourgogne with bubbles. Lots of upside here, too.

From a 375. Light golden color, excellent bead; nose is moderately aromatic with yeast, brioche, light citrus; palate is medium-plus to high acid, slight citrus, sharp and biting, flavor and depth fades through the midpalate; finish is short-medium length. Not a bad bubbly for the price and nice in a half bottle. 85-86

Now I get it. I hadn't previously understood why this is a step up from 7 crus but I let this one sit for a year. It is startlingly pure and focused and very pretty and the fruit has a depth and resonance that is more pronounced than 7 crus (which is also great).

There is no disgorgement date on the back, and I got it recently from Astor so it could be recent or it could be several years old. Tastes recent to me. I expected this to be good wine but it was really a great bottle. Bright, fresh, focused, it shows pure creamy ripe fruit at first and very quickly becomes about minerals - salty chalk. But always balanced and never angular, and with a notably silken texture. Long and citric on the finish, great energy and drive. Delicious and highly expressive wine.

Disgorged 05/2013 (dates are on the cork). All Grand Cru fruit, 100% Chardonnay. PnP and enjoyed with sushi. So very delicious, showing refreshingly crisp lemon notes, slightly softened by warm pear, with a gentle yeastiness in the background and noticeable chalky soil signature...very well balanced and nicely complex. Med+ acidity and "extra brut" (low dosage), and I find that not everyone who make Extra Brut has their wine in proper balance...but Agrapart seems to have this all figured out. This wine was drinking quite well now, but will likely further improve with bottle age for another few years and drink well through 2020 or so.

This champagne was clear, bright, a golden straw hue with fine, smooth rising bubbles. The nose consisted of toast, nuttiness, with a subtle touch of french oak. This crispness continued in the mouth, a smooth mouth-feel, very balanced minerality. The toasty oak came through out, a warm lingering finish, but crisp. Very drinkable, youthful and will last into 2020s; nicely dry, pleasant by itself.

Medium yellow, with shades of gold. Initially cool temp had nose of green apple, pear, lemon, and bread As it got colder in the ice bucket, nose became more muted.
Lots of fine bubbles that continued over 1.5 hours.
Wonderful mouth feel, flavors of green apple, but the acidity was quite nice with the seafood we had..

Fantastic, vivid aromas of spiced pear, lemon peel, and subtle pastry. Well balanced and energetic on the palate with a fine mousse, as ripe orchard fruit competes with lime citrus, fresh herbs, and spiced brioche, all bolstered by saline minerality. Delicious, with the stuffing to improve. Drink or hold.

Such a solid Champers for the $. Yeasty, tight bubbles and a buttery brioche middle. So fresh and lively, there's minerality and edgy green apple. Very crisp and clean on the palate and finish. Really tasty starter.

Nose: Fresh and lively with white fruits, mineral tones, white florals, pears, almonds, and tart green apples. There is medium depth to the nose with a focused style to it.
Taste: Medium bodied with crisp medium/high acidity. The structure is noticeable with white fruits, white florals, tart green apples, pears, and some mineral notes.
Overall: This was 1/12. The structure is still very vibrant with a crispness to the acidity.

Drank for a NYE party and toast. Really solid bottle of bubbles, great minerality and yeastiness to go with the initial percieved fruit coming from being a bdb. Very solid for the price.

Chalk/alkaloid, sweet green apple, Meyer lemon, some pineapple/tropical, candied ginger, nutmeg aromas; palate confirms aromas; medium plus acidity; medium plus astringency; plenty of minerality; medium-to-feminine in style, as champagnes go.

Fra magnum. Her hadde jeg forventet en kalk-mineraldrevet vin, men var heller litt rund og myk i kantene. Gule frukter og litt jordlig preg. Ok syre. med god konsentrasjon. Ganske lang finish. Bra vin, men kunne hatt litt mer spenst.

Disgorged April 2013. A very concentrated, rounded and balanced Blanc de Blancs. It is all about power but there is enough sophistication as well, thanks to only 5 gr/l dosage. Delicious! Should improve another 6-18 months after disgorgement and gain a point.

Bouquet of sweet apricot, minerality, rose petal, biscotti, and touch of yeast. Palate has flesh and touches of grapefruit with good acid tension finishing very clean, dry and velvety and almost seamless. I'm very impressed with this gracious showing from Agrapart.

Grapefruit, lemon oil, and bread on the nose. Palate is very crisp, with energetic, frothy carbonation. Tastes like lemonade with a slice of fresh lemon. Not bad, but no great depth.

Terres et Vins de Champagne 'a Portland; 5/17/2013-5/18/2013 (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): Very nice and soft aromas that are floral. Mild palate with some funk and moderate texture. Nice cutting nature with minerals that hold nicely on the palate. Really dials up on the finish with impressive depth and tartness. Very good length that coats the mouth. Good stuff!

This wine was bottled in May of 2008 and disgorged in August of 2011, dosage 5 g/l and 50 mg of sulfites, 100% Chardonnay. Lovely fragrance of minerals and mild floral scents with occasional citrus. Fabulous flavor of peaches and almonds but with a nice acid backbone. Bubbles are strong but not overwhelming. After several hours the wine showed great balance and a slightly sweet hint of peaches. This is fine wine, one of the best NV Champagnes ever.

Pop and pour. Initially came off as a bit harsh with not much fruit showing but decent minerality. Opened up over 2 hours to show some green apple and maybe some ginger. Nice champagne at this price point (although I think a step behind a Bereche or Pierre Peters) and would expect it to improve over a few years.

Some Blind Bubblies (Tooch's, chicago IL): Nose: Very fragrant with tones of white fruits, white florals, mineral tones, almonds, and pears. There is good depth to this with a very linear style to it.
Taste: Medium bodied with medium/high acidity that has a sharpness to it. There is a real good focus to the tones of white fruits, pears, minerals, and almonds but the finish is clipped.
Overall: This was a lot of fun. There is a real crisp and pristine quality to it with good balance.

From magnum. Remarkably fresh and precise; bright citrus, pear and green apple fruit framed by yeasty, biscuity and chalky notes with a powerful acid spine beneath keeping it very focused and vibrant. There's a sense of real energy here, good depth and remarkable persistence to the flavors.

OC4PokerXIV: Alsace vs Germany (and dinner) (Wine Cellar Club, Irvine, CA): Disgorged Aug 2011. Nose and palate both show very fresh, but also moderately austere. Not quite the depth I prefer, and missing some of the nuttiness and complexity, but nearly makes up for it in the freshness department. A nice starter wine that may well soften up a bit in 2-3 years , but if enjoying now, fresh oysters seem a rather solid pairing.

This was really nice, and a great value. Effusively fragrant, with lifted, high-pitched aromas of yellow fruit, citrus, and spice. Very brisk, with a large but persistent bead. The palate is a nice interplay between the fruit - apples, blood orange, and lemons - and a pleasant, earthy bitterness, evoking campari. Turns steely and mineral-ly on the finish. The residual sugar begins to become apparent as this warms, and adds some weight to the mouthfeel. This is concentrated, generous with flavor, and downright delicious for the price.

Light yellow/gold colour. Delicate mousse. Fresh, elegant but still quite weighty on the palate. Quite lovely overall although it did become quite soft, even soapy, with prolonged aeration.

Very enjoyable and certainly a step up from the 7 Crus bottling - there's the same bright citrus and pear fruit but conveyed with more richness, and more emphasis on the savoury brioche/doughy/vanilla cream elements. Really well balanced with bright acids keeping it very lively and good length.

Brilliant! This Agrapart Terroirs disgorged August 2011 was simply awesome tonight. The nose reveals creamy fruit, crisp lemon zest, mature green apples, dried apricots and a deep perfume of lilac and white flowers. The palate is dense, but still clean and exhibits a massive and full-bodied impression. The dosage in this effort helps bring forward the nose and the palate in an exquisite way, it is of course and extra dry champagne, but if you want to experience the necessity of a proper dosage, this wine will tell you the whole story. Lovely. (score is 90-93)

Til jordskokk-suppe og raketter gjennom vinduet. Voldsom smaksrik, ikke helt klaff til suppa. Litt fersk kanskje. Autolyse, eple, eik, fast og lang ettersmak med eike-element. Fungerte fint til et lite stykke kaldt pinnekjøtt fra kjøleskapet.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #059; Champagne. (By IL): Light yellow. Brioche and apple in the bouquet. Even though this is an extra brut, there was a slightly sweet impression in the start. Also brioche, mild apple, some spiciness, licorice and some nutty flavors on the palate. The bottle we had was made of 50% 2005 and 50% 2006 grapes. Part of the 2006 wine had some oak. Overall a very pleasant Champagne.

Impressive, Picked this up in half bottle to enjoy while travelling. Ended up making it home and not sure what to expect, but was thoroughly impressed. Nose started off with clear apple and citrus flavours wrapped in complex malo flavours likes toasted brioche and whiffs of cinnamon butter. Balanced acidity and mouth feel to offer up the same complexity on the palate. My only issue with this wine, is that i only bought a half bottle.

Stumbled upon a demi of this at Whole Foods, already cold in the fridge section. So bought it and opened it immediately. Wish I'd bought the big one! This is sensational champagne. Classic Avize nose of balsam and graphite. Full malo gives it a rich, creamy texture. Flavors of bright, fresh green apples, a trace of lemon zest and subtle, elegant minerality on the everlasting finish.

Disgorged 2018. Pours pale, translucent gold.
Aroma of darkly baked croissant. Light citrus. Smoky trailer.
Dry and lean mouthfeel. Medium acidity.
White stone and early spring citrus pastry. Fruit is secondary to an umami rich, baked core, but somehow remains light on its feet.
This grows on you as the subtleties unfold through the length of the bottle. Very nice, but a tough value proposition.

Disgorged mid 2017 (2013 base?)

Palate marries the acidic cut with pretty citrus fruits wrapped in a pretty saline, floral and biscuity nuances.

Disgorged 2008. Medium-gold color. Remarkable intensity of effervescence given its age, and great yeasty aromas. After one hour of air and after warming up a bit the full aromatic profile emerged of white peach, apple, citrus and sweet flowers, with a stunning combination of richness and structure and a persistent mineral finish.

The «Terroirs» is a blend of 2 vintages with grapes from four villages in the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Oger and Oiry. 100 % Chardonnay coming from grand cru vines only.
Tasting note📝
Pale straw colour with a greenish tint.

This is an outstanding wine, with pear, peach and apple aromas and the heft and body of a ten-year old grand cru. Although its bubbles are powerful and persistent, the drinking experience is akin to a lightly-oaked Chablis Grand Cru with a decade of cellaring.

Bdb with very fine bubbles. Dissipates quickly in the glass. Aromatically it shows white citrus fruits, floral, some flint and ginger spices. The style here is lean but very approachable with good energy, sweet citrus fruits and a mineral laden body. At tasting.

Heaps of acidity that is enamel-stripping. The finish here is really nice, with a chalky texture mixed with tart fruit. However, on the midpalate, there's some sweet orchard fruit that adds a lot of interest. The best bottle of this I've had so far.

Overall: This is easily the best bottle I've had of the Terroirs. I didn't catch the disgorgement, but this bottle showed off a lot of class, poise, and depth across the nose and palate.

100 per cent Chardonnay.

April 2013 Disgorgement.
Medium yellow, with shades of gold.
Initially cool temp had nose of green apple, pear, lemon, and bread
As it got colder in the ice bucket, nose became more muted.
